Luis Díaz Aragón

He is a Guatemalan architect, painter, muralist, sculptor and fine artist born in 1939, Díaz graduated as an architect from the Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala en 1961. He founded the Art Gallery DS three years later. He has participated in international exhibits such as the Biennial of Paris, France, the American Biennial in Chile and the Biennial of Puerto Rico. His work also has left buildings such as the Edificio Médico Obelisco, and the Banco Industrial, as well as the Plaza del Sol and even the Campus of the Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala –USAC-. He has won prizes in Honduras, Brazil, Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Mexico, among others.
